The movie tells a story about 11-years old Marek, who loves Venice. His family has gone to visit the city for generations. His great-grandparents, his grandparents, parents and even his older brother have made the trip. Marek knows the city by heart, but he has never had a chance to see the city himself. When his dream is just about to come true, the war starts unexpectedly. Marek ends up in Zaleszczyki, in the large villa of Aunt Veronica. Down in the cellar of the mansion, Marek still has dreams. If he can not go to Venice, Venice will come to him…
