Contact exhibit features two neighbourhood photographers and documentaries about them

  Maybe you’ve seen John Bladen Bentley in the neighbourhood. He’s hard to miss when he’s out walking, with his cumbersome 8 by 10-inch Deardorff view camera and tripod balanced on his shoulder. He transfers the images he captures to paper using a 19th century technique called colour carbon transfer.  The result is richly coloured prints that are multi-layered and textured.
