The voice talents of 2005's Madagascar have all returned to reprise their roles as Alex, Melman, and Gloria, New York zoo animals on an adventure in Africa. Where the first Madagascar mainly dealt with the city slicker animals experiencing culture shock, the second installment begins with a prequel telling of Alex (the lion) and his early life. The animals find themselves back in an airplane, which crash lands in Africa as they are trying to reach Madagascar. The film tells the story of how the animals deal with problems they face when Alex is reunited with his pride (who haven't been socialized). Fans of the first film will enjoy the sequel.
