Saturday Night Fever

1977 (John Badham) 14A, 118 minutes

John Travolta; Karen Lynn Gorney; Donna Pescow

Tony is a handsome, bighearted guy with a lot more style than he knows what to do with. His job in a paint store doesn't call for much élan, but Tony supplies that anyway, charming the customers and strutting gamely down the street as he makes his deliveries. His room at home is dreary and his family even more so, but Tony has done what he can with Farrah and Rocky and Pacino posters to give the place a little class. Even so, things can get him down—but just when they do, another week is over and it's time to hit the local disco. On the weekend, and on the dance floor, Tony is king.
