Somewhere

2010 (Sofia Coppola) 14A, 97 minutes

Stephen Dorff, Elle Fanning, Chris Pontius

Johnny Marco (Dorff) is an up and coming actor who has all the parties and women he can handle, except that they leave him feeling empty. While recovering from an injury in the famous Chateau Marmont hotel, his 11-year-old daughter Cleo (Fanning) appears on his doorstep for an indefinite stay. As he goes about promoting his latest film, Cleo becomes his constant companion. Johnny is forced to mature and be a father, but along the way it decreases his sense of isolation and gives him a vision of life outside of a press junket. Directed by Sofia Coppola (Virgin Suicides, Lost in Translation), this film won the Golden Lion award at the Venice Film Festival.
