DETAILS
A romantic classic as delightful as spring’s warm sunshine! Lucy Honeychurch (Helena Bonham-Carter) is touring Italy with her older cousin (Maggie Smith) when she meets the free-spirited George (Julian Sands). Once returned home in England she must choose between two very different suitors. Adapted by Ruth Prawer Jhabvala from E.M. Forster’s novel about a young upper-class woman navigating the restrained culture of the Edwardian era, this beautiful Merchant/Ivory production won many major awards—including both the Oscars and BAFTAs for Best Costume Design to John Bright and Jenny Beavan (Cruella, Mad Mad: Fury Road) as well as for Best Art Direction. – NATHALIE ATKINSON
