Details
The saxophone plays as powerful actors William Hurt and Kathleen Turner stare at each other with palpable desire. Her flame-red skirt hugs her curves as he, rugged and disheveled, struggles to lift it past her garter, because you’re watching a grown-up, dangerous, passionate and stylish flick. A searing and sexy erotic thriller penned and directed by legendary screenwriter/director Lawrence Kasdan. Though most known for adventure scripts Empire Strikes Back and Raiders of the Lost Ark, he is never better than when he scripts sensual and provocative pictures like The Big Chill, Grand Canyon, The Bodyguard and, of course, heatwave classic Body Heat. As director he pushes the limits of decadence and gratuity in the 80s. It’s exciting to see a sweatier, nastier and explosive neo noir reminiscent of Double Indemnity spun into colour. Embrace the heat of the season with this chilling thriller.
