Amateur director Alan loses his beloved’s dog the morning of an important shoot. A film critic offers some candid observations on a series of incomplete shorts that Alan has spent his own money making. Alan grows desperate for the day to be over as the pursuit of the lost dog and the chaos of filming start to blend.

Presented through a series of interwoven vignettes, DOGLEG exposes the unique struggles of the creative process all while poking fun at the inanity of filmmaking itself. With performances from Angela Trimbur (SEARCH PARTY), Kristoffer Borgli (dir. SICK OF MYSELF/DREAM SCENARIO), and film critic/author Nick Pinkerton (Substack’s “Employee Picks,” Decadent Editions’ Goodbye, Dragon Inn). In collaboration with LA creative collective and streetwear brand Brain Dead and Studio Yours Truly, Al Warren blends the anxieties of a lost dog and indie film production into a surreal, meta soufflé. We are delighted to announce director and star Al Warren will join us for an introduction as well as a discussion with filmmaker Karen Knox (Adult Adoption, Slo Pitch, BARBELLE) following this special presentation of DOGLEG. Woof.
