The Revue’s Food in Film programme blew the lid off with the first TMNT movie – but bouncier and more kinetic than its predecessor (with a bigger budget and making less money!), TMNT 2 was panned by critics like Siskel and Ebert as Turtle-mania faded as quickly as it came. OR perhaps they were not ready for the film’s Sartre-like engagement with the ultimate meaninglessness of life????
