Artist Sonny (Michael Beck) is feeling creatively blocked…until a weirdo lady in a mural (Olivia Newton-John, fresh from her star-making turn in GREASE (1978)) comes to LIFE and glorious SONG and pairs him with aging impresario (and talented hoofer) Danny (Gene Kelly, in his final film role). The mysterious woman thus a stately pleasure dome decrees!!! Thus rises XANADU – an art deco hot spot, where amazing songs and gorgeously terrible dance numbers boom!!
