Walter and Danny are not having a great time. Their Dad has to go into work, leaving their mean older sister Lisa in charge for the day, and there’s nothing to do. While exploring the basement, they find an old science-fiction themed board game called ZATHURA, and begin to play, only to find out this game is not contained to their living room, or even this solar system….

If you’ve never heard of Zathura, you’re not alone: the film was considered a flop when it was first released, suffering from a terrible marketing strategy and contending with the latest Harry Potter movie, but don’t let that dissuade you from this hidden gem. Director Jon Favreau takes Chris Van Allsberg’s concept and manifests a galaxy of heat-seeking aliens, robots, and rogue astronauts: see baby-faced Kristen Stewart and Josh Hutcherson before they become the mega stars of Twilight and The Hunger Games. Join us for this underrated family classic and learn the secret of ZATHURA!
