Partially directed by Tobe Hooper (THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE) before being completed by legendary stuntman John “Bud” Cardos, THE DARK is an eerie, collage-like monster mash that features a creature with neon laser eyes. A writer takes a personal interest in a series of baffling, shocking murders in Los Angeles committed by “The Mangler” — a killer that might not be human. TV reporter Zoe Owens and police detective Dave Mooney are on the case, but the truth behind the murders is far more strange and horrifying than they could ever imagine. (AGFA)
