Koko and the Cartoon Factory

Koko and the Cartoon Factory

1925 , 7 minutes

Koko the Clown was the most beloved animated figure of the 1920s. His cartoons, like all of those in the Fleischer Brothers' Out of the Inkwell series, mimicked the live action comedy shorts of the period: meaning they were a string of gags, held together by a general theme. Koko cartoons often liberally mixed live action and animation, making him a true forerunner of Roger Rabbit.
