Failed inventor Flint Lockwood finally hits the jackpot with an invention that turns water into food – a boon for a town where all there is to eat is sardines. An accident results in the machine affecting the town’s weather, interacting with rain clouds to create cloudbursts that deliver deluges of delicacies. Naturally, Flint is the town hero as his neighbours are free to gorge themselves on unlimited junk food. But the weather inevitably turns stormy, with spaghetti twisters and oversized pancakes that can flatten an entire block. Has Flint bitten off more than he can chew?
