Martial arts heroes battle aliens from the Astral Plane for control of the universe!
A reclusive Kung Fu master named Simon embarks on a quest to the city’s underworld searching for answers to his sister’s death. A spiritual master tricks him in a plot to steal his piece of a magic talisman he shared with his late sister. As the conspiracy unfolds, Simon must punch and kick his way through a bizarre, mystical world full of aliens, karate sorcerers, dragons, talking pigs, and lots and lots of chickens.
Shot on Super 8 over the course of a week by Korean-American martial arts pioneers Philip and Simon Rhee (BEST OF THE BEST), Furious was released on VHS following a brief theatrical run in 1984, eventually fading into obscurity. Thanks to VISUAL VENGEANCE, a new SD master from the original tape elements has breathed new life into this enigmatic chop socky classic, offering a rare glimpse into the early careers of Hollywood work horses Philip and Simon Rhee. Join us for another chapter of SUPER 8 SPRING with this cult martial arts classic. (BRANDON LIM)
