Former policeman Lenny Nero has moved into a more lucrative trade: the illegal sale of virtual reality-like recordings that allow users to experience the emotions and past experiences of others. While they typically contain tawdry incidents, Nero is shocked when he receives one showing a murder.

Equal parts Film Noir and Cyberpunk Thriller, powerhouse director Kathryn Bigelow (NEAR DARK, POINT BREAK) shows us an all too real “future” version of America, obsessed with high-tech distractions, and on the brink of implosion. As with our November film PEEPING TOM, voyeurism holds the key, and STRANGE DAYS forces us to consider why we would watch a film about watching what is most lurid and shocking. That’s entertainment!
