Heat Wave at the Revue Cinema, a lineup of the greatest summer movies ever made, continues  with the tense road thriller BREAKDOWN with an introduction by Paid In Sweat curator, VANYA GARRAWAY! 

 

Preppy couple Jeff and Amy Taylor (Kurt Russell and Kathleen Quinlan) take a much needed summer vacation out west. As they make their way on a long stretch of blazing and lonely Arizona road, their car breaks down. Shortly after accepting help from a stranger, Jeff’s wife goes missing and he is left in a treacherous, and desperate attempt to get his wife back!

 

 
Imagine you’re Kurt Russell in a summery light blue Lacoste golf shirt and sensible khakis, and *boom* *poof* your wife vanishes by the nefarious means of money hungry baddies.
