Afro-Punk (2003) is an award winning documentary film directed by Toronto Comic Arts Festival’s featured guest, James Spooner.
Afro-Punk was shot and released by James Spooner in 2003. To celebrate its 20 years since its release, TCAF in collaboration with The Revue Cinema and The Black Nerds will screen Afro-Punk, the 66-minute film that inspired the Afropunk festival, co-founded by Spooner and Matthew Morgan. James Spooner will be in attendance for a post-screening talk-back with Faduma Gure of TCAF programming team and The Black Nerds.
