Texas has a whorehouse in it!! Yee-haw!

Join Dumpster Raccoon Cinema for one of cinema’s best and most controversial musicals, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas! Miss Mona Stangley (Dolly Parton!) has been running her business in peace just outside of the town line – and her affair with the town sheriff (Burt Reynolds!) without no nevermind. But when a meddlesome culture wars TV personality makes a stink for ratings, suddenly everyone’s favourite business is in trouble!!

Featuring a sunnily winning performance from Parton and Reynolds as a longshank sex god just going to seed, Whorehouse is a kinetic, genuinely sexy and genuinely sweet romp – and includes a shockingly horny chorus boys number and Parton’s mega-hits “Hard Candy Christmas” as well as “I Will Always Love You” (yes, that one!). Dolly Parton had two directors fired until she got Colin Higgins aboard, who had previously directed Harold & Maude and Dolly’s film debut in 9 to 5. Higgins was openly gay, and succumbed to AIDS during the crisis; Whorehouse was his last film.

Come celebrate queer excellence – and Parton, one of queer culture’s most beloved icons – in this fun, horny, zippy treat! With video preshow, host Anthony Oliveira, live performance, and cocktails by the Shameful Tiki Room!

Part of the Dumpster Raccoon series!
