Sad that summer’s over? Bummed about going back to school? Look on the bright side. At least you’re not pregnant with Michael Cera’s baby…
HOLD UP! presents the hipster comedy JUNO (2007), the story of a teenager whose life is changed by 1/8 of the cast of Arrested Development. Faced with an unplanned pregnancy, sixteen year old Juno (Elliot Page) has a change of heart at an abortion clinic, and decides to find an adoptive family. In the following months (nine, give or take), Juno’s relationships with the adoptive couple (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner), her best friend-turned-baby daddy Bleeker (Michael Cera), and her own parents (J.K. Simmons and Allison Janney), are shaped by her sudden need to grow up fast.
Written by coming-of-age hitmaker and hamburger-phone enthusiast Diablo Cody, JUNO is a refreshingly relatable and judgement-free tale of teen pregnancy for the ages.
Part of the Hold Up! series!
