45th Anniversary Screening!

IT WILL TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY. ALL OF IT.

After a series of gory murders committed by mobs of townspeople against visiting tourists, the corpses appear to be coming back to life and living normally as locals in the small town.

Considering that the quaint, Northeastern fishing town with a gruesome secret is back in fashion (check out Widow’s Bay), it seemed like the perfect time to resurrect this under-seen gem from filmmaker Gary Sherman (DEATH LINE, POLTERGEIST III). Potters Bluff may conform to a Norman Rockwell painting on the outside, but there’s something violent and frightening just beyond the white picket fences. The vibes are eerie, and the gory set pieces showcase the great work of legendary special effects artist Stan Winston. Living on the edge of folk horror, DEAD & BURIED feels like a classic EC Comics tale brought to life. Potter’s Bluff is a nice place to visit…But you don’t want to die there. (STEVEN LANDRY)
