PRESENTED ON 35MM!

This Summer, we take a break from “Twos” and focus on (Not-So) Terrible Threes and present three second sequels that are worth revisiting on the big screen.

Alien 3 has gone through a critical reassessment over the years, and while it was trashed upon its initial theatrical release, many now see it as an ambitious, albeit flawed, sequel. Even though Fincher disowned the sequel due to studio interference, his visual style and and talent behind the camera shine through.

It’s still messy, but it has more merit than the reputation of being the franchise-killer it was known for being in 1992. See this rarely screened film on the big screen — presented on a rare 35mm print! (SERENA WHITNEY – Programming Director)
