40th Anniversary Screening!

This Summer, we take a break from “Twos” and focus on (Not-So) Terrible Threes and present three second sequels that are worth revisiting on the big screen.

Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome is often seen as the weakest of the original Mad Max trilogy, but it’s far from a terrible movie. Although it’s far less grimy and violent than Road Warrior, it is still a solid, entertaining entry in the franchise. The film provides us with the unforgettable Aunty Entity (played by the late and great Tina Turner), exhilarating sequences involving the Thunderdome battle and a final chase scene and the film paved the way for Mad Max: Fury Road’s world-building. Catch this on the big screen at The Revue! (Serena Whitney)

Part of the (Not-So) Terrible Twos series!
