Synopsis
An incarcerated father (Denzel Washington) of a basketball phenom, (Ray Allen) on his way to college, attempts to convince his son to take a offer from his warden’s alma mater, in order to shorten his sentence. Their tumultuous relationship makes the goal a challenge to say the least.

Paid in Sweat’s first Spike Lee Joint! HE GOT GAME is incredibly vibrant, filled with gorgeous tableaus, a dream cast, and a bombastic score. A cinematic painting, and a sports masterpiece that Lee calls a parent and child story. All the beauty is anchored by the acting of the great Denzel Washington, and a surprisingly astute Ray Allen who holds his own with the legendary actor. We are lucky enough to witness all of this on 35MM. What a great start to the year! See ya then!
