REVUE SERIES

Over the course of the last ten years, the Revue Cinema has become the go-to venue for event-driven cinema. While the majority of the films we play are second-run, we aim to go beyond the screen with our Special Events, offering the Roncesvalles community engaging discussions, inspired food pairings, live performances, interactive games and exclusive restorations.

“The first couple of years were shaky. That’s where smart programming came in. As devised by founding film society member Ellen Moorhouse, the theatre began hosting programs that invited local businesses to contribute and participate.” – Geoff Pevere, The Globe & Mail

“The Revue is famed for its serious and eclectic repertory programming, some of the most consistently interesting in the city: silent comedies, canonical anime, Fred Astaire dance classics and cult hits from the 1980s.” –  Calum Marsh, National Post

Do you have a proposal for an interesting series? We are currently on the lookout for programmes focused on politics and social justice. Drop us an e-mail. (Please note that our slate of genre-focused programming is completely full.)
