Over the last several years, the Revue Cinema has become the go-to venue for event-driven cinema. With our Revue Special Events/Revue Series, we aim to go beyond the screen, offering the Roncesvalles community engaging discussions, inspired food pairings, live performances, interactive games and exclusive restorations.

“The Revue is famed for its serious and eclectic repertory programming, some of the most consistently interesting in the city: silent comedies, canonical anime, Fred Astaire dance classics and cult hits from the 1980s.” –  Calum Marsh, National Post

For three years running – 2018, 2019 and 2020 – the readers of NOW Magazine voted the Revue Cinema Toronto’s Best Independent Film Venue.

Are you a filmmaker, film historian or film critic? Do you have a proposal for an interesting series? We are currently on the lookout for programmes focused on politics and social justice. Drop us an e-mail. (Please note that we are not currently accepting pitches relating to horror/cult/genre-focused programming.)

See below for a list of upcoming Special Events produced by the Revue’s talented team of programmers. Our screenings go beyond the film, featuring live introductions, bonus pre-show material, live performances, panel discussions with experts and food pairings.
